The HTI - Hard Target Intervention - is a multipurpose rifle employed by the Xuande-Xiphoian Armed Services as both a high-power anti-personnel and anti-material rifle. The design of the rifle is based on the Scout Recon series of rifles, and is chambered for higher calibre rounds.
The rifle is also designed as a bullpup rifle, with the magazine located to the rear of the trigger mechanism. This allows the rifle to retain a smaller profile with a longer sized barrel. The HTI maintains exceptional accuracy because of its match-grade (free-floated) barrels, chambers and crowns, a high-quality match trigger, and solid return-to-zero barrel mounting system. The HTI utilises four powerful calibers to suit specific mission requirements, and qualified users are able to recalibrate their rifles speedily and accurately. Conversions for the HTI take 60 seconds and use the same HTI chassis. The acceptable calibres include:
The weapon includes ergonomic features including a raisable recoil pad and inbuilt rear monopod. As a specially-issued weapon, operators generally have a great deal of options for attachments which are highly mission specific, but all equippable utilising the multiple rail system. |
